Four months to go
Now’s the time to get serious about skincare, particularly if you need to tackle stubborn skin concerns like pigmentation. “It takes time to fade dark patches but it’s worth it as an even-toned complexion will make you look fresh and youthful,” says Hayley. “I recommend a combination of cosmeceutical skincare with ingredients like retinol and glycolic acid and a series of light peels.” Start by introducing pigment-fading ingredients into your routine with products like Jan Marini’s Age Intervention Retinol Plus, which works well alongside their Skincare Management System. Then visit the salon for a course of light peels. “There’s no need for deep peels,” explains Hayley, “having between three and six light peels will have the same effect as a more dramatic treatment but with none of the downtime.”
